On the eve of Giovanni Faulk's debut for Die Tour Phantome, manager Alexx traveled to Scotland to officially anounce the team's new strategy. "It's AA. No, not Alcoholics Anonymous! Atlantic Alliance, of course!"
Alexx explained that the team from now on will focus on riders from both sides of the Atlantic Ocean: mainly American, Canadian, Irish and British. "And maybe an occasional guy from Gibraltar", Alexx said, joking. "We've come to the conclusion that a severe language barrier has stopped us from taking the last step to the absolute top of the OCM world. With this new project, world domination is just a matter of time."
The team will not engage in an all out team sale of all the riders that don't fit the new profile. "We will fase them out as they get too old to produce results. And meanwhile we'll try to train or buy riders that do fit the profile", Alexx said. Already, the team signed Arlen Sidery and Freddy Beaulieu in hopes of rejuvenating the TT branch. With Faulk and recently maxed English allrounder Reginald Laurence the climbing team also had it's first AA-impulses. Alexx: "And there's more to come!"
